I wrote this guitar riff and the chorus in the hospital as my Dad was passing. I spent his last few days with him playing guitar and one day I noticed that someone had taken out his hearing aids. Even though he could not respond, and was just hours away from passing, I put in one of his hearing aides for him. His last words to me me were "thank you". So the title "The Very Last Sound He Ever Heard" is for my Dad. And yes, that is the two of us on the promo picture.
It took me several years to complete this song and it's not really "about" my Dad, actually it's more about my beautiful Daughter than anyone else.

I finally was able to record it how I was hearing it in my head and I think now is the time to release it out in to the world.
